The Chalk Creek Stampede is located at the base of Mount Princeton on the McMurry Land & Livestock Co. The course is 6.3-mile loop with 466 feet of climbing per lap. Running counter-clockwise, the course includes an initial double-track climb from the ranch’s flat grazing area, singletrack along a picturesque plateau, and a rocky technical descent to Chalk Creek where singletrack trail meanders through aspen and cottonwood groves. The return to the venue is a fast double-track mixed with a few flowing singletrack sections. There is cactus that lines the course so please prepare accordingly.
